The interior in the classic style impresses with its sophistication and nobility, aristocratic atmosphere and luxurious details. So it is not surprising that the classics have a lot of fans. We will tell you about the origin and features of the classic style using photos of apartments and houses with a traditional design as an example.

• The classic style is recognizable in any design projects, and among its characteristic features:
• Monumentality and large architectural elements. These can be antique columns, arches, niches, pilasters, ceiling cornices. Their task is to emphasize the scale of the room, complicate the configuration and layout, create a palace flavor, make the interior status and pretentious.
• Correct geometry and clear proportions. Ideally, rooms with a classic interior should be square or rectangular with symmetrically located doors and windows. And in modern realities, geometry can be adjusted using various design techniques.
• Symmetrical layout. It implies the formation of an axis of symmetry, which is created by the central piece of furniture and the corresponding element, as well as the presence of paired pieces of furniture, lamps and decor that organize the space.
• Expensive finishing. Priority is given to marble and granite, natural wood panels, Venetian plaster, frescoes and designer wallpaper.
• Detailed decoration. Everything is decorated: walls and ceilings, doors and floors, openings and portals, lamps and furniture.
