Ar Deco works with shades of cream, gray, white, black and gold (but there shouldn’t be too much gold, so it doesn’t look gaudy); as well as a palette of blue, orange, purple, green, pink tones and the colors of metal, wood and leather.
In fact, almost any color can be incorporated into Ar Deco, and Ar Deco also allows the use of more than 3 basic colors in the interior (which is quite rare), but all shades must be deep and complex. If it’s red, then it shouldn’t be the color of a pioneer’s tie, but more complex, for example, wine color or the pinkish shade of pomegranate peel. If it’s blue, then it shouldn’t be open and flashy, like the domes of churches on Santorini, but more saturated or dusty. And so on.
